Brian H. Lamkin

Brian is Of Counsel in the Firm’s Labor and Employment Group. Brian represents employers in state and federal trial and appellate courts around the country, before administrative agencies, and in alternative dispute resolution proceedings such as meditation and arbitration. Brian also counsels clients on a wide range of employment-related issues, including hiring, discipline and termination of employees; enforcement of trade secrets, and non-competition, non-solicitation and non-disclosure agreements; wage and hour laws; family and medical leave; prevention and investigation of claims of discrimination and harassment; and techniques for avoiding employee lawsuits and administrative claims. Additionally, Brian provides training on employment law and human resource issues; prepares and reviews employment, severance and non-competition agreements, employee guidebooks and human resource policies; and conducts independent investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination, and other misconduct in the workplace.

Before joining Mirick O’Connell, Brian was a Partner with Manchel & Brennan, P.C., a labor and employment boutique with a particular emphasis on restrictive covenant and trade secret litigation. Prior to that, Brian practiced at large firms in Boston and Baltimore.
